9. Dark Spots
When some parts of the skin produce more melanin than others, dark spots appear. Dark spots on the skin are not harmful and do not require treatment, however some people choose to diminish or remove them for cosmetic reasons. Acne scars, prolonged sun exposure, and hormonal fluctuations can all contribute to hyperpigmentation, or dark spots. Patients can use a number of lotions and serums to help lighten, brighten, and fade dark spots over time.
Instead of spending money on expensive cremes and lotions, make your own aloe vera creme to decrease and fade dark spots on your skin. Use a glass or wooden bowl for this. 1 tblsp ordinary toothpaste, 1/2 tblsp turmeric powder, 2 tblsp aloe vera gel. Mix this mixture vigorously until it becomes a creme-like consistency. Apply this cream to your dark spots and leave for 30 minutes before rinsing with water.
