Rohit Roy shared his sadness and disbelief, describing him as the “happiest, most gentlemanly, always positive and smiling” person he had ever met.
Major Bikramjeet was born and raised in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, as the son of Army officer Dwarka Nath Kanwarpal, who was awarded the Kirti Chakra in 1963. Major Bikramjeet was a member of the 4th Horse regiment and served the country after being commissioned into the Army in 1989. He retired as a general in 2002, according to sources.
