Doors (2021) Movie Review Story in Short & Trailer
In a movie DOORS, four high school students are serving detention, at the same time a creepy thing happens to them. Their teacher abruptly exits the classroom and does not return, and their phones begin to ring. They look into it and discover a mysterious “door” that appears to be calling out to one of them, Ash (Kathy Khanh Nguyen). Becky (Lina Esco) and Vince (Josh Peck) volunteer to become “Knockers,” people who discover the strange worlds beyond the gate, a few weeks later.
Their time within it reveals hidden aspects of themselves. Finally, 101 days after the doors emerged, scientist Jamal (Kyp Malone) welcomes a work colleague to his remote cabin to show her a door that he has not only researched but also communicated with.
Sci-fi movies are hit or miss for me. They amuse me at times and irritate me at others. Doors fell somewhere in the middle for me, but I enjoyed its originality and intriguing storyline. It was like opening Pandora’s box, with endless possibilities. The casting was fantastic, and I could tell everyone was ecstatic for this project to begin.
