Skater Girl (2021) Netflix Film Plot & Storyline
Skater Girl is a coming-of-age tale of self-assurance, bravery, and the lasting effects of forging your own path. Prerna (Rachel Saanchita Gupta in her debut performance) is a local teen living a life bound by tradition and duty to her parents in a remote village in Rajasthan, India. When Jessica (Amy Maghera), a London-bred advertising executive, visits the village to learn more about her late father’s childhood, Prerna and the other local kids are treated to an exciting new adventure thanks to Jessica and an old friend (Jonathan Readwin), who rides into town on a skateboard. The kids become enamoured with the sport and begin skating through the village, causing havoc with all and everyone in their path. Jessica embarks on an uphill struggle to create the kids their own skatepark in order to inspire and foster their newfound passion, leaving Prerna with a tough choice between conforming to society’s expectations of her or living out her dream of.
